THE ABLE ORGANIZATION ACKNOWELDGES OPERATING ENGINEER, HOWARD HAWKESWORTH OF ABLE EQUIPMENT RENTAL, INC.

NEW YORK - August 12, 2009 - The ABLE Organization highlights Howard Hawkesworth, an Operating Engineer for ABLE Equipment Rental, Inc. (ABLE).  Hawkesworth joined ABLE three years ago as a highly skilled Operating Engineer.  ABLE customers who choose to rent equipment with an operator are pleased to find Hawkesworth's diligent work ethic combined with his vast experience with underground utility and excavation.

Hawkesworth has 25 years of experience as an Operating Engineer. He began his career in Medford, NY where he worked for a water utility contractor for 21 years.  There, Hawkesworth began as a foreman and rose to the position of Operating Engineer, where he gained extensive knowledge and understanding of underground utilities.  When excavating on the jobsite, the importance of existing utilities is crucial to the success of the project.

At ABLE, Hawkesworth has facilitated many large projects, including the renovation of a sewage pump station on Long Island, where he played a key role creating a sewage bypass with 8 inch pumps, allowing the existing pump station to be shut down during the renovation.  At ABLE'S Long Island Branch, Hawkesworth has also been significant in his role as Shop Manager, increasing the efficiency of the mechanics' daily work.  He has been instrumental in assisting with projects such as burning the company's waste oil for heat during the winter months, installing an oil water separator for pressure washing the equipment, and installing fuel tanks for fueling the fleet.  All of these projects have had a large impact on ABLE's Shop productivity.
